Twilight fans’ long wait is over but not really as Twilight Saga presents the first part of the 2-part finale via Breaking Dawn Part I before the final chapter next year.
Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Well, I guess that is no longer a question for this Twilight movie Breaking Dawn Part I.
Breaking Dawn Part I: The Movie
I must admit that I got curious when this whole Twilight thing started but after the first book (and film) everything seemed to be in slow-paced and boring already. Sure, the vampire Cullen vs. werewolf Jacob is exciting but not really because we all know that Bella (Kristen Stewart) is head over heels with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). So, I had no expectations coming into the cinema to watch this film. I didn’t even watch in the opening day knowing that thousands of fans are lining up to see the film considering that 5 out of 7 cinemas in a mall are showing Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I.
In this movie, Bella and Edward got married and went on a honeymoon but they, at least Edward knows that it would be dangerous for Bella. However, Bella was so persistent, she even tried various seducing tactics just to make Edward “try” again. I must say, the acts were cute, Edward so adorable laughing at Bella’s acts. Edward is indeed sexy too.
After few days, Bella noticed that her menstrual period is delay so they wonder if it is possible for her to get pregnant. The “fetus” as Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) would refer but Rosalie (Nikki Reed) would immediately correct “baby” is growing so fast inside Bella’s womb.
It is getting Bella too weak and Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) and Edward were afraid that it will kill Bella. However, Bella was so decided that she wants the baby. With the help of the Cullen clan, Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and two other werewolves they took care of Bella with her condition and against the werewolves pack lead by Sam who believe that the baby inside Bella’s womb will be a big threat for them werewolves and even to the vampires.
Fans will surely enjoy how these two hunks Edward and Jacob take care and show love to Bella even if she looks scary thin almost close to Gollum. The whole cinematography looks wonderful too.
However, the fighting scenes were less thrilling and exciting. The werewolves were just gnarling all the time and the vampires were moving too fast and that’s it. I can’t help but mention how funny (and gore at the same time) the scene where Carlisle gave Bella blood to drink, served in a cup with straw. LOL.
This part 1 of the two-part finale of the Twilight Saga is indeed melodramatic but we’ll see how the wrap up the series. I sure do not know yet as I haven’t continued reading the books but I am sure many fans are also eager to see how it ends in the movie even though they already know the ending through Stephanie Meyer‘s Twilight Saga books.
