Happy Feet 2 Movie Review
If the original Happy Feet made you tap your feet out of joyness this Happy Feet 2 will still make you dance and sing at the same time. Family of Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood), Gloria (Alecia Moore a.k.a Pink) and the young Erik (Ava Acres) together with other Penguin friends Ramon, Lovelace (both voiced by Robin Williams) and others are back to give everyone a great time.
Mumble realized his son Erik is having a dilemma with his choreo-phobic and hesitation to dance like what everyone does in their place. With this little Erik tried to find himself and decided to follow Ramon on his way back home. In this adventure, Erik met The Mighty Sven, a penguin who can fly. Erik found inspiration and motivation to find his purpose in life with the help of Mighty Sven so he also agreed to come back home with his dad Mumble. However, a tragedy happened at their place wherein all the penguins including Gloria are trapped because of the giant icebergs. This is where the story revolves…
Watching Happy Feet 2 in IMAX is all worth it. The 3d effects and overall visual is superb. In terms of musicality, the film is also a big winner especially with Alecia Moore aka Pink voicing for Gloria. It may not be as heartwarming as the first film but Happy Feet 2 is still a winner and will definitely make the viewers feel good.
Brad Pitt and Matt Damon as Will the Krill and Bill the Krill provide additional laughs too. Well, the scene-stealer for me is Carmen (Sofia Vergara) and Ramon’s love story. Hearing Sofia Vergara’s voice with her accent saying “Hay Ramon I’m okay I’m down here” is indeed a trademark.
Overall, I must say this is a great movie for the family especially for the kids. You will surely leave the cinema with not only happy feet but also happy heart. Catch Happy Feet 2 now if you haven’t.
